In a move to align wages with inflation trends, the Government of Haryana on April 15th 2025 has announced a revision of minimum wages across the state, effective January 1, 2025. This revision is in accordance with the provisions of the Minimum Wages Act, based on the periodic review of the Workers Consumer Price Index (CPI).
The Minimum Wages Payable has been revised for the following category of workers:
CPI-Based Wage Adjustment
The wage revision is based on CPI data, which is reviewed every six months — in January and July. Between June and December 2024, the CPI rose from 3326.60 to 3438.5, marking an increase of 111.90 points.
As per the 21.10.2015 notification, which introduced full neutralization of CPI fluctuations, the corresponding increase in wages amounts to 3.36%, applied pro-rata to various categories of employment notified under the Act.

The revision is carried out under Section 5(2) of the Minimum Wages Act, reaffirming the government’s commitment to ensure fair wages and protect workers’ livelihoods amid changing economic conditions.
