Gurugram Offices Encouraged to Implement Work-from-Home Amidst Air Quality Concerns

In response to the deteriorating air quality in the National Capital Region (NCR), the Office of Deputy Commissioner, Gurugram has advised all private institutions and corporate offices to implement a work-from-home policy for their employees. This measure is aimed at reducing vehicular emissions and contributing to improved air quality.

The directive comes in line with the recommendations of the Commission for Air Quality Management in NCR and adjoining areas. As per the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP), Stage IV measures have been activated to address the severe air quality situation.

Key Points

Private offices are encouraged to shift their employees to work-from-home arrangements to minimize traffic congestion and pollution. The move is expected to reduce vehicular emissions and contribute to the overall improvement of air quality in the region.

It is important to note that the duration of the work-from-home advisory will depend on the prevailing air quality conditions and further directives from the authorities.
