Food Safety and Standards Authority of India ( FSSAI ) notified laboratories to upload the test reports on the online platform ( InfoLnet ) of food authority. This significant move aimed to create transparency about the product as its available for public for Enriching Standards, MIS Reporting, Sample Tracing, Centralized Data. These guidelines where issued on 16th November, 2023.
Fortified rice , Fortified rice kernel ( FRK ) and Vitamin Premix for FRK shall be required to mention the source of iron in test reports and should upload these test reports on the InfoLnet portal after auditing on real time basis. The test report shall be void if the source of iron is not mentioned. So it is compulsory to mention the source of iron in the test report. All the Government food control authorities or professionals, Officials from Department of food and public distribution, Food corporation of India shall mention the source of iron in the letter/ sample request form.
