The Govt. of Uttar Pradesh has issued a notification revising the Dearness Allowance (DA) for certain categories of employees. This notification was issued on 5th February, 2023.
The calculation of the variable dearness allowance for all category of workers employed in engineering factories that are employing 50 or more workers is based on the All India Consumer Price Index. The adjustment of the DA is to be made on the average of the All India Consumer Price Index from 1st February to July to December of the previous year and from 1st August to January to June of the same year.
The notification provides the calculation for the variable DA based on the abovestated All India Consumer Price Index.
