The Government of Uttar Pradesh vide notification dated 15 May, 2020 has restored the operation of the provisions regarding working hours under the Factories Act over the factories in the state which was suspended earlier. Government of Uttar Pradesh through notification dated 08 May, 2020, granted to all factories exemption from provisions of section 51, section 54, section 55, section 56 and section 59 of the act subject to certain conditions.
Due to unavoidable circumstances the Government of Uttar Pradesh comes to the conclusion that the exemptions from rules governing working hours, interval, overtime etc shall be lifted..
