The State Government of Tripura vide its notification dated 4th December 2021 has revised the Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) for different categories of workers engaged in the employment of construction or maintenance of roads or in building operations in Tripura which shall be payable with effect from 1st October 2021.
The total minimum wages payable for highly skilled employees shall be Rs. 365 per month, for unskilled employees it shall be Rs 238 per month and for semi-skilled Rs. 274 per month.
Further, the calculation for overtime shall be, daily rate of wages divided by 26 and rounded off to the next rupee and for employees doing overtime, the rate shall be the double of the ordinary rate of minimum wages.
