The State Government of Tamil Nadu in its press release dated 7th May 2021 has notified that the patients who are under the Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health insurance scheme are applicable for COVID treatment at private hospitals.
At present treatment at Government hospitals are done free of charge, however, due to rise in the number of covid-19 cases in the state, the government has decided to bear people’s medical expenses under the state Insurance scheme and the patients undergoing treatment in Private hospitals for all kind of covid-19 related treatment shall claim their expenses under this insurance scheme.
