The State Government of Tamil Nadu vide its notification dated 19th January 2022 has notified that the rate of interest on the deposits and balances in the account of each member of the Tamil Nadu Government Industrial Employees Contributory Provident Fund for the financial year 2020-2021 shall be 8.50%.
The Tamil Nadu Government Industrial Employees Contributory Provident Fund scheme was introduced in the year 1969 for the welfare of the casual Labours earning wages in the Government in Essential departments.
