The State Government of Tamil Nadu vide its notification dated 22nd April 2020 has listed out industries that are classified as continuous process industries.
Industries belonging to the sectors of steel, refineries, cement, chemical, and fertilizers, sugar mills, among others have been allowed to operate in the state and it is ordered to permit the skeletal staff for essential maintenance of all closed industrial units to ensure the safety of the machinery/installation.
