The State Government of Karnataka vide its notification dated 1st May 2021 has directed all private hospitals registered under K.P.M.E in the state to mandatorily display details on availability of beds, allocation, and availability of essential medicines at the reception counter.
Earlier the government had issued an order directing all private hospitals registered under KPME to allocate 50% of beds to COVID-19 patients. The data provided by hospitals must corroborate with the data of the central bed allocation system at the BBMP.
Non Compliance to this order will attract punishment under relevant sections of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 and Karnataka Epidemic Disease Act, 2020.
