Government of Haryana Announces List of Holidays for 2025

On December 26, 2024, the Government of Haryana released a notification outlining the list of holidays for the year 2025 for all public offices under the state government. The notification includes details about different categories of holidays, each with specific guidelines and provisions.

The Notification Covers the Following Schedules:

Schedule 1: Gazetted Holidays
This schedule lists the official holidays that will be observed as public holidays across all government offices in Haryana.

Schedule 2: Restricted Holidays
In addition to the gazetted holidays mentioned in Schedule 1, all employees, including outsourced employees, are allowed to choose three holidays from the Restricted Holidays list.

Schedule 3: Holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881
This schedule specifies the holidays that will be observed as public holidays in Haryana, in accordance with Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881. These holidays will be applicable throughout the state, excluding Judicial Courts.

Schedule 4: Special Days
The notification also highlights specific occasions in Schedule 4 that will be observed as special days in 2025. However, no public holiday will be granted for these dates.
