The State Government of Gujarat in its order dated 15th June 2020 has authorized the police personnel not below the rank of head constable to collect fine for not wearing a face cover in all public and workplace and during transportation and for spitting in public places.
Earlier only the municipal commissioner, collectors, and local government were authorized to collect fine for violating the norms of Gujarat Epidemic Diseases, Covid-19 Regulations, 2020.
