The Government of Goa on 13th October 2022, has decided to introduce 2 new categories of water supply consumers viz., Semi-Domestic Consumers (SDC) and Home Stays and introduces the water tariff for Semi-Domestic Consumers (SDC) and water tariff billed for Small Hotels & Restaurants, Hostels having number of rooms less than 15/Government tourist hostels (Non Air-Conditioned) having area upto 150 sq. mts. be made applicable to Home Stays and be billed as per the water supply tariff.
The proposed water tariff for Semi-Domestic Single Water Connection Consumers is as follows:
Single Water Connection utilized for extended rental dwelling units not having separate house numbers shall be categorized as Semi-Domestic Consumers and the tariff as applicable to Domestic Consumers will be made applicable to this category with additional tariff of Rs. 300 per rented premises irrespective of its occupancy.
The tariff for Small Hotels Restaurants, Hostels having number of rooms less than 15/ Government tourist hostels (Non Air Conditioned) having area upto 150 sq.mts and Home Stays, shall be Rs. 25 per m3 for 1st 80 m3. Rs. 30 per m3 above 80 m3.
