Goa Government vide its notification dated 20th February 2021 has extended the validity of the “One Time Settlement Scheme 2020” up to 28th February, 2021 under Electricity Department for defaulting consumers of electricity charges having accumulated arrears upto 10-10-2020 for Temporarily Disconnected, Permanently Disconnected and Revenue Recovery cases consumers.
The consumers who have opted for the scheme and have defaulted in making the outstanding payments in instalments, or have not paid single instalment, shall now pay the outstanding dues in only one instalment on or before 28-02-2021 after approaching Sub-Divisional office.
Further the 50% relief on the outstanding amount of the old Permanently Disconnected consumers as on 10-10-2020 will continue, wherein the segregation of principal amount and Delayed Payment Charges (DPC) are not available in the records of the Department and entire amount has been treated as principal amount.
