The State Government of Assam on 19th June 2021 has formulated a standard operating procedure in order to streamline processing of application for obtaining CTE and CTO under section 25 of the Water (prevention and control of pollution) Act 1974 and Section 21 of the Air (prevention and control of pollution) Act 1981 for ethanol producing industries.
APCB shall consider CTE and CTO of ethanol industries within a period of 15 days priority basis after receipt of all documents and information with respective application.
The Applicant shall submit a copy of environmental clearance accorded to the industry/processes as applicable in accordance with EIA notification 2006 , along with other documents for obtaining CTE and the project proponent may apply for CTO before 3 moths of the proposed date of commission after CTE along with requisite details.
