On October 4, 2024, the Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB) announced amendments to the fees associated with various authorizations and registrations related to waste management.
Updated Fee Structure
The following fees are now applicable for different types of authorizations issued by the Board:
- Hazardous Waste Authorization
- Fee: ₹15,000
- Validity: 3 years
- E-Waste Authorization
- Fee: ₹15,000
- Validity: 3 years
- Municipal Solid Waste Authorization
- Fee: ₹15,000
- Validity: 3 years
- Plastic Waste Registration
- Fresh Registration Fee: ₹5,000 (valid for 1 year)
- Subsequent Renewal Fee: ₹15,000 (valid for 3 years)
Penalties for Late Applications
To encourage timely compliance, a penalty of 50% will be imposed on the authorization or registration fees if applications for renewal are not submitted by the specified deadlines as per the relevant rules.
