Further Extension Of Deadline For Submission Of PG Annual Declaration Report

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has announced another extension to the deadline for submitting the PG Annual Declaration Report for medical courses. This notice was published on November 27, 2024.

It may be recalled that all medical colleges and institutions offering postgraduate (PG) medical courses in India are required to submit Annual Disclosure Report. This requirement is in accordance with the Maintenance of Standards of Medical Education Regulations, 2023 (MSMER-2023). The NMC had by a notice dated October 1, 2024, fixed a deadline for this requirement as October 31, 2024. Subsequently, by another notice dated October 29, 2024, this deadline was postponed to November 15, 2024 and then further extended till November 22, 2024. Now, by the present notice, this deadline has been extended till December 7, 2024.

The deadline for submission has been extended by 15 days. A penalty of Rs. 20,000 plus GST will be imposed per course for late submissions.

No further extensions will be granted beyond December 7, 2024.

The NMC has taken this decision in response to requests from government medical colleges. However, it is crucial to note that the terms and conditions outlined in the original notice dated October 1, 2024, will remain unchanged.

All concerned medical colleges and institutions are urged to adhere to the extended deadline and submit their reports on time to avoid penalties and potential consequences.
