Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has operationalised the Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) (Amendment) Regulations, 2019 on 1st July 2020. The draft amendment regulations proposed by the FSSAI is in the stage of consideration of public comments. Considering that the proposed amendment shall take some time to come into effect, in the Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) (Amendment) Regulations, 2019, the provisions dealing with standards of honey is hereby operationalised.
