The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has modified its list of laboratories accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL). This notification was issued on July 19, 2024.
These laboratories are notified for the purposes of carrying out analysis of food samples taken in accordance with the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.
FSSAI has modified the list of laboratories in the Southern Region of the country. The following are the changes effected by the present notification:
Andhra Pradesh
In the state of Andhra Pradesh, in addition to the already notified lab, the FSSAI has now notified Interfield Laboratories, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. It shall carry out biological and chemical testing of food samples.
Tamil Nadu
FSSAI has also notified Nawal Analytical Labs India Private Limited., Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu. Its scope of accreditation extends to biological and chemical testing.
