FSSAI has directed to enforce the maximum limit of trans-fat prescribed for vegetable oil/ fat products

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India vide circular dated 07.01.2020 has directed the Commissioner of Food Safety of all states to enforce the maximum limit of trans-fat prescribed for vegetable oil/ fat products. The maximum limit of trans-fat shall be 3% w.e.f 1 April, 2021 and 2% w.e.f 1 January, 2022.
