FSSAI extends validity of notified laboratories

The FSSAI through notice dated 05.02.2021 has extended the validity of FSSAI notified laboratories subject to following conditions:

• The primary notified laboratories shall obtain accreditation through FSSAI-NABL integrated assessment mode before expiry of validity;
• The state food testing laboratories who have applied for NABL accreditation shall apply for FSSAI-NABL integrated assessment within a year;
• The state food testing laboratories who have NABL accreditation shall apply for FSSAI-NABL integrated assessment within six months;

Any fresh application for FSSAI license by laboratories shall be provided through FSSAI-NABL integrated mode only.
