FSSAI extends the compliance timeline under Food Safety and Standards (Food Product Standards and Food Additives) Fourth Amendment Regulations, 2018 related to the standards of packaged Drinking Water (other than Mineral Water).

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India on 23^rd December 2021 has decided to further extend the timeline for compliance in respect of the limits of Calcium and Magnesium specified in the standards of Packaged Drinking Water (other than Mineral Water) up to 1st July, 2022.

As per the earlier notification the timeline for the compliance with the provision related to the limits of Calcium and Magnesium specified in the standards of Packaged Drinking Water (other than Mineral Water) was extended up to 1st January, 2021.

However based on Representations from stakeholders requesting for further extension of time for compliance, it has been extended until 10^th July 2022.
