FSSAI Amends List of Accredited Food Testing Laboratories

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has announced amendments to its list of accredited food testing laboratories. These changes, published in the Gazette of India, reflect updates to the accreditation status and scope of several labs across different regions. This notification was published on January 30, 2025.

Key Changes by Region

Northern Region

  • Haryana: HTH Laboratories Private Limited in Panipat has had its accreditation scope updated to include both biological and chemical testing.
  • Rajasthan: Jagdamba Laboratories (OPC) Private Limited in Jaipur has also had its accreditation scope updated to include both biological and chemical testing.
  • Uttar Pradesh: The listing for a laboratory at serial number 1 has been deleted.

Western Region:

  • Madhya Pradesh: The laboratory listed at serial number 4 has been deleted.
  • Maharashtra:
    • FHHL Private Limited in Pune has had its accreditation scope updated to include both biological and chemical testing.
    • Two new laboratories have been added: Biozed Engineering Private Limited in Thane and Adarsh Scientific Research Center and Testing Laboratory Pvt. Ltd. in Raigad. Both are accredited for biological and chemical testing.

Eastern Region:

Bihar: Omshiva Test House Private Limited in Patna has been added to the list and is accredited for biological and chemical testing.

These amendments reflect FSSAI’s ongoing efforts to maintain an accurate and up-to-date list of accredited food testing laboratories. These changes are important for food businesses and consumers, as they rely on these accredited labs to ensure food safety and quality.
