The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) on November 25, 2022 has issued Directions under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 regarding the re-operationalization of Food Safety and Standards (Licensing and Registration of Food Business) Amendment Regulations, 2021.
The Food Safety and Standards (Licensing and Registration of Food Business) Amendment Regulations, 2021 has been re-operationalized with effect from November 11, 2022.
The enforcement of these regulations shall commence only after the final regulations are notified in the Gazette of India. Certain regulations were already enforced via previous notifications. The food business operators shall follow the entire regulations w.e.f 11.11.2022.
