In compliance with the directives of the Supreme Court of India, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has further extended the last date for admission to undergraduate courses for NEET UG 2023 eligible candidates. A public notice to this effect was issued on November 21, 2023.
This extension is specifically related to Writ Petition (Civil) filed by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for extension of last date for admission of under graduate course. It also includes the provision for a Special Stray Vacancy Round to fill vacant MBBS seats in both the All India Quota (AIQ) and State Quota.
The last date of admission to undergraduate courses had been notified as November 15, 2023. However, the present notice has provided an extension in this timeline to November 27, 2023.
All eligible candidates are informed about the extension of the admission deadline for undergraduate courses, as well as the schedule for the Special Stray Vacancy Round of UG Counselling for MBBS Seats – 2023.
Candidates admitted to the 1st year MBBS course for the academic year 2023-24 are directed to complete the online details submission process by the latest date of 27th November 2023. To facilitate the online entry process, candidates must access the portal.
This extension and the subsequent Special Stray Vacancy Round aim to ensure that all eligible candidates have a fair opportunity to secure admission to MBBS courses and that vacant seats are appropriately filled.
