The Election Commission of India has officially designated the 19th of April 2024 (Friday) as the polling day for the General Elections to Lok Sabha, 2024, and the Bye-Election to the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly from the 233rd Vilavancode Constituency in Kanniyakumari District. Consequently, in accordance with the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 (Central Act XXVI of 1881), this polling day, the 19th of April 2024 (Friday), is to be recognized as a public holiday.
