A workshop on safe injection practices and biomedical waste management was held at LD hospital here.
The programme was conducted by the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine Government Medical College Srinagar. The participants included doctors, nursing staff from laboratory, blood bank, CSSD and sanitation. “Few attendants from the hospital were also invited to understand the importance of safe disposal of biomedical waste. The seminar was conducted on the directions of Commissioner Secretary Health and Medical Education, MK Bhandari,” the Medical Superintendent of LD hospital said in a statement.
