The Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has issued a notice requesting compliance with Office Memorandum (OM) dated 3rd April, 2023. This notice was issued on 12th April, 2023.
The OM states that the DA payable to Central Government employees is enhanced from 38% to 42% of basic salary from 1st January, 2023.
The DA will continue to be a distinct element of renumeration. Moreover, payment of DAs involving fractions of 50 paise or above shall be rounded up to the next higher rupee and fractions of less than 50 paise will be ignored.
