ESIC has issued a notice ordering all ESIC Medical and Dental Colleges/Hospitals to guarantee medical services to ESI Beneficiaries at ESIC Hospitals. This notice was published on 24th February, 2023.
ESIC has observed that ESI beneficiaries face difficulties in availing medical services in ESI Hospitals due to non-availability of Faculty/Specialists / Medical Officers in the hospitals during emergency hours.
Hence it has been directed that medical facilities to ESI Beneficiaries should be provided in a hassle-free manner and patients should not be denied treatment on the pretext of non-availability of doctors.
Accordingly, all Head of Offices of ESIC hospitals and Medical Colleges are directed to ensure availability of Faculty/Specialists/Medical Officers (PG) in the hospitals during emergency hours so that any available in-house medical services are not being denied to the beneficiary and any undue referral is avoided.
