Employees State Insurance Corporation issued a notification on 18th May, 2023 regarding mandatory online approval for extension of stay in ESI hospitals. To bring in transparency and to avoid issuing/approving offline extension of stay, the empaneled hospitals and referring/approving ESI authorities in the field are directed to mandatorily adhere to the online system of seeking and approving the extension of stay.
