ESIC Issues Notification on Bulk Aadhaar Seeding Through Employer Portal

The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has issued a notification regarding the bulk Aadhaar seeding process for ESIC beneficiaries through the Employer Portal. This update is part of the ongoing efforts to enhance the Aadhaar seeding process, making it more efficient for employers and employees.

Key Details of the Notification:

Previous Instructions Recap:

  • ESIC had previously issued instructions on Aadhaar seeding through various methods including OTP authentication, biometric authentication, and face authentication in earlier circulars dated 20.06.2023, 17.07.2023, 20.07.2023, 04.10.2023, and 10.01.2024. These methods were designed to ensure the smooth integration of Aadhaar details into the ESIC system.

Bulk Aadhaar Seeding:

  • The latest provision focuses on bulk Aadhaar seeding through the Employer Portal. This allows employers to upload multiple Excel sheets in a single day for bulk Aadhaar seeding of their employees (Insured Persons or IPs).
  • A user manual detailing the process for uploading these Excel sheets is attached to the notification for reference.

Action Required by Field Offices:

  • Field offices are urged to examine the Aadhaar seeding reports generated by the system. The focus should be on identifying employers with a large number of beneficiaries who have yet to seed their Aadhaar details into the ESIC database.
  • Field offices are also requested to give wide publicity to this new feature to expedite Aadhaar seeding for insured persons (IPs) and their family members. The goal is to complete the Aadhaar seeding process within a time-bound manner.

Objective:

  • This initiative aims to streamline the Aadhaar seeding process, improving data accuracy and enabling faster access to ESIC benefits for employees and their families.

    Conclusion:

This notification highlights the enhanced bulk Aadhaar seeding feature, which is expected to significantly speed up the process of linking Aadhaar numbers to the ESIC database. Employers are encouraged to take prompt action and ensure timely completion of the Aadhaar seeding process for all their employees.
