The Employees State Insurance Corporation vide its notification dated 18th May 2020 has further extended the time limit for filing the return of contribution for the period from October to March 2020.
Explaining the reasons for extending the period for filing ESI contributions, the Labour Ministry in a statement said many establishments are temporarily closed and workers are unable to work due to the COVID-19 crisis.
Therefore considering the hardship, the Employers are allowed to file the Return of Contribution for the contribution period from October 2019 to March 2020 up to June 11, 2020.
