The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation(ESIC) in its Circular dated 2nd December 2019 has circulated copy of gazette notification dated 26.8.2019 to regional directors. The Notification amended the Rule 61A of ESI Central Rules, 1950 which dealt with maximum income limit of dependent parents for eligibility to medical benefit.
ESI corporation has enhanced the income limit of dependent parents for eligibility to medical benefit from Rs.5000 to Rs.9000 from all source.
