The Employees State Insurance Corporation on 24th June 2020 has allowed migrant workers across the country, with valid ESI medical benefit entitlement to avail medical care services from ESI hospitals nearest to their hometown.
Since the insured person under ESI scheme is facing difficulty in availing medical benefit while they have migrated from their workplace/ city in view of lockdown and considering the difficulty, ESIC has allowed the workers to seek medical benefits from their nearest hospital.
