Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate change Vide Notification dated 26 December 2019, has issued Environment (Protection) Amendment Rules, 2019. The Amendment has imposed Standard Parameters for use of Effluents in Automobile Service Stations, Bus Depots or Workshops.
The following standards are provided for concentration of effluents to be used:
Total Suspended Solids: 50 mg/l
Chemical Oxygen Demand :150 mg/l
Oil and Grease: 10 mg/l
The Rules shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
