Ensuring Fair Compensation: New Wage Rates in Sukma District

In a move to uphold fair labor practices, the Office of the Collector in Sukma district, Chhattisgarh, has issued a significant update regarding wage rates for various categories of workers and government employees. Effective from April 1, 2024, through September 30, 2024, these rates incorporate fixed daily and monthly wages, inclusive of variable dearness allowances as per Clause 43 of the Chhattisgarh Financial Code Part-2 and the Minimum Wage Act of 1948. This notification was published on June 5, 2024.

Workers across different sectors, including those paid from contingency funds, will benefit from these revised rates, ensuring that all receive equitable compensation. Moreover, part-time and half-time employees will be remunerated proportionally based on their hours worked, maintaining transparency and fairness in wage distribution.
