The Central Government has published notifications extending the date of enforcement of the quality orders for 4 petro-chemicals. These notifications were published on March 18, 2024.
These notifications cover the following petro-chemicals:
- Ethylene Vinyl Acetate Copolymers
- Acrylonitrile,
- Styrene (Vinyl Benzene), and
- Maleic Anhydride
With the exception of Ethylene Vinyl Acetate Copolymers, the enforcement date for the quality control orders of the remaining three chemicals has been extended to October 24, 2024.
However, the enforcement date for Ethylene Vinyl Acetate Copolymers (Quality Control) Order, 2022 will be October 3, 2024.
