The Central Government on 9th May, 2023 has issued the Electrical Equipment (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2023. The order provides the revised standards for Low – Voltage switchgear and controlgear.
A product grouping guideline for obtaining a license from certifying and enforcing authority, i.e., Bureau of Indian Standards in this regard will be issued separately with the approval of the Competent Authority. The Manufacturer shall submit declaration to Bureau of Indian Standards for submission of a report of test compliance by 10th May, 2026 or if any other date notified in this regard, whichever is later.
