The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, after consulting the Export Inspection Council, has notified that the egg and egg products shall be subjected to quality control or inspection or both prior to export.
It is also specified that the type of quality control, inspection and monitoring shall be in accordance with the Export of Egg and Egg products (Quality, Control , Inspection and Monitoring) Rules, 2021 as the type of Quality Control, Inspection and Monitoring which shall be applied to such egg and egg products prior to export.
The egg products shall comply with the National Standard of the importing countries in absence of which codex standards of Codex Alimentarius Commission.
