E-waste Manufacturers in the State of Rajasthan shall maintain pass book issued by the state board.

The Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board(RSPCB) vide its order dated 10th February 2020 has mandated e-waste manufacturers, dismantlers, refurbishes and recyclers to maintain passbook that is issued by RSPCB.

In addition to the above, the manufacturer/dismantler/recycler shall maintain records in Form -2 and file Annual Return in Form 3 under the E-Waste (Management and Handling) Rules, 2016 regarding every financial year before 30th June.

The following steps shall be taken for implementation of the passbook system.

  • The passbook shall be issued by the state board along with authorization under the e-waste Rules for a period of 5 years with specific conditions that the segregated e-waste will be sold to registered recyclers only. The passbook will contain type and details of the e-waste permitted for procurement.
  • At the time of renewal of authorization the original passbook must be submitted to the RSPCB for them to check the quantity and type of e-waste.
