The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare through notification dated the 26 February, 2021, has issued the Drugs and Cosmetics (Amendment) Rules, 2021. The amendment provides that drugs supplied by Community Health Officers at Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Centers is exempted from the requirement to be covered by a sale license, provided the drugs are supplied under the Health or Family Welfare Programme of the Central or State Governments.
