The Ministry of Commerce and Industry through notification dated 2nd February, 2021 has issued the draft Static and Mobile Pressure Vessels (Unfired) (Amendment) Rules 2021. The Amendment provides FORM AS-4 to file an application proforma for the grant of permission to Transport Compressed gas in ISO Tank containers by Road within Indian Territory.
It also provides that a third Party Inspection Agency shall have persons with qualifications and experience as applicable to the competent persons and recognition by Chief Controller to carry out inspection, certifications, testing and safety audit of major accident hazards (MAH) premises as defined under Manufacture, Storage and Import of Hazardous Chemicals Rules, 1989. Objections or suggestions, if any, may be sent by email within thirty days.
