The Himachal Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (HPERC) on July 04 ,2024, notified the Draft Himachal Pradesh Electricity Commission (Short Term Open Access) (Second Amendment) Regulations ,2024 further to amend the Himachal Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (Short Term Open Access) Regulation 2010.
As per Regulation 6 of the HPERC Short term open access, 2010, any open access customer intending to avail open access shall make on application to the nodal agency along with the payment of non-refundable application fee. The application fee was previously fixed as Rs.5,000. However, as per the latest regulation the application fee has been increased and a fee of Rs.15,000 shall be made payable by the applicant.
Also, the operating charges under Regulation 26 which includes fee for scheduling, system operation and collection and disbursement of charges has been revised from Rs. 2,000 and fixed at the rate of Rs.5,000.
The HPERC has invited stakeholders to submit their objections, suggestions, and views on the proposed draft on or before 3rd of August, 2024 to the Secretary, Himachal Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission, Vidyut Aayog Bhawan, Block-37, SDA Complex, Kasumpti-171009 (HP).
