The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India vide notification dated the 10th November, 2020 has published the Draft Food Safety and Standards (Prohibition and Restrictions on Sales) Amendment Regulations, 2020. The amendment seeks to include any Multi sourced edible vegetable oil containing Mustard Oil in the list of admixtures prohibited for sale. The amendment, once published, shall have retrospective effect from 1st October, 2020.
