Chandigarh UT Administration has published the draft ‘Chandigarh Plastic Waste Management Bye-Laws 2020’ on 28th July, 2020. After the expiry of 10 days from the publication of this notification in the Chandigarh Administrative Gazette, the draft will be considered. Suggestions and comments shall be sent to commissioner of municipal corporation of Chandigarh.
The draft Bye-Laws, 2020 seeks to organize and regularize Plastic Waste Management and to regulate the Handling of Plastic Waste in the Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh. Moreover, these Bye-Laws are in consonance with the provisions of the Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016.
