The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways through notification dated the 15th March, 2021 has issued draft the Central Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Rules, 2021. The amendment provides that in case the vehicle is registered on submission of certificate of vehicle scrapping, the fee for issue of certificate of registration shall not be levied. The amendment also provides the new fee structure for registration.
The objections or suggestions may be sent by any person with respect to the draft rules before the expiry of 30 days through email. These rules shall come into force with effect from 1st day of October, 2021.
