The Government of Andhra Pradesh(A.P) on 13 August, 2021 has issued the draft amendment to A.P Factories Rules. The amendment furthers the ease of doing business and e-governance measures in favor of factories in Andhra Pradesh. Any comments on the draft rules shall be sent to the Director of factories within 45 Days.
The amendment provides that the occupier of a factory can register online through single desk portal. It is also provided that annual fee can be paid online. The fee can be paid annually or for a block period of not more than ten years at the option of the occupier. Seven days from the date on which the application is received, registration can be deemed granted in the absence of objections.
