Directions for Higher Educational Institutions offering full-fledged online programs

The University Grants Commission vide circular dated 18 May, 2022 has issued following directions for Higher Educational Institutions offering full-fledged online programs:

1. It shall be the sole responsibility of the HEI to ensure that programs offered in full-fledged Online mode strictly abide to All the provisions of UGC
2. Duration of the programs shall be as per UGC notification on Specification of Degrees and its Amendments.
3. The HEI shall abide by the conditions such as number of seats, recognition period, etc. mentioned in the relevant Regulatory Authority letter.
4. The Regulations also mandate that the programs wise recognized/ entitled HEIs shall not offer Online programs under any franchise arrangement and shall have complete ownership of these programs.
