The Directorate General of Foreign Trade in its notification dated 28th May 2020 has removed the restrictions on paracetamol active pharmaceutical ingredients (API), making it export free with immediate effect.
DGFT vide its earlier notification dated 3rd March 2020 has restricted the exports of certain drugs and their formulations to ensure there is no shortage of drugs in India but had freed few of them in April and now it has removed the export restriction on paracetamol (API).
