The Directorate General of Foreign Trade in its Notification dated 31st January, 2020, has banned the export of all varieties of personal protection effective from date of publication of the order.
Equipment including Clothing and Masks used to protect the wearer from air borne particles and / or any other respiratory masks or any other personal protective clothing [including coveralls (Class 2/3/4] and N95 masks] is prohibited from being exported. In the context of inquiry of china to import protective equipment from India, the detection of Coronavirus infection in Kerala and arrival of several Indian citizens from China, the epicenter of the outbreak, the ban shall commence with immediate effect till further orders.
